Acceptable Use Policy
Version 1.1 · Effective 26 October 2026
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for using Maxemo. It supplements our Terms and Conditions and is incorporated into them by reference; capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms. By using Maxemo, you agree to comply with this AUP. If you violate it, we may act under Section 4 and our Terms.
2. Permitted Use
Maxemo is intended for: (a) personal, non-commercial medical exam preparation and educational study by doctors and medical graduates; (b) attempting the current-day Daily Free Test (DFT) and, for Plus subscribers, previous days' DFTs; (c) creating your own sessions/tests; (d) adding materials and Question Banks shared by the Community to your Library, and editing your own copy of them, within the limits of your plan; (e) tracking your study progress and viewing your performance analytics; and (f) other use consistent with the Service's intended purpose and our Terms.
3. Prohibited Activities
This list is illustrative, not exhaustive. We may determine, in our reasonable judgment, whether conduct violates this AUP.
3.1 Account Misuse. (a) Sharing login credentials or letting others access your account; (b) creating more than one account per person, or a new account to evade a suspension/ban; (c) impersonating any person or entity, or registering under another's identity; (d) providing false or misleading information.
3.2 Content Misuse. (a) Copying, downloading, screenshotting, recording, or redistributing Platform Content through any medium, free or paid; (b) sharing Maxemo exam questions, answers, or materials on social media, messaging platforms, forums, or competing platforms; (c) using Platform Content to build or operate a competing product, or selling access to Maxemo content; (d) academic dishonesty — using Maxemo content to cheat in actual examinations, or sharing content that facilitates it.
3.3 Technical Misuse. (a) Using bots, scrapers, or crawlers to access or collect data; (b) reverse engineering any part of the Service; (c) bypassing or interfering with security, access controls, or authentication; (d) disrupting or overloading the Service (including denial-of-service attacks or excessive bandwidth use); (e) exploiting a vulnerability (please report vulnerabilities responsibly to support@maxemo.app); or (f) uploading or introducing files, code, or content containing viruses, malware, or malicious code.
3.4 Harmful Conduct. (a) Harassing, threatening, bullying, or intimidating any user or our personnel; (b) hate speech or content promoting discrimination or violence; (c) unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or pornographic content; (d) privacy violations — sharing personal information, clinical data, or patient records/Protected Health Information (PHI) of others without consent (strictly prohibited given the medical nature of the platform); (e) child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that sexualizes or endangers minors — strictly prohibited and reported to authorities as required by law; or (f) spam — sending unsolicited messages, advertisements, or promotions.
3.5 Intellectual-Property Violation. (a) Adding, uploading, or sharing content you do not have the rights to (including copyrighted textbooks, Question Banks, or proprietary materials without a valid license) — note that having paid or Library access to content does not grant the right to redistribute or re-share it; (b) infringing any third party's copyright, trademark, patent, or trade-secret rights; (c) removing or altering proprietary notices or authorship attribution.
3.6 Library and Community Materials Conduct. When adding, editing, or otherwise dealing with materials or Question Banks in your Library, you must not: (a) share, post, or add leaked, recalled, or "memory-based" live examination content, or otherwise assist exam malpractice; (b) republish, pass off, or claim as your own a material or Question Bank created by another user — authorship attribution must be preserved; (c) charge for, sell, or otherwise monetize any material or Question Bank you add or share; or (d) circumvent the Free plan's three-item limit described in our Subscription and Auto-Renewal Terms (for example, by using multiple accounts).
4. Enforcement
4.1 Monitoring. We do not routinely monitor User Content, but we may review it on receiving a report, when automated systems flag it, or where we reasonably believe a violation occurred. Automated safety checks (malware, CSAM, PHI, copyright, spam) may operate across the Service.
4.2 Actions We May Take. At our reasonable discretion we may: (a) warn you; (b) remove or lock content; (c) restrict an account for clear spam/abuse; (d) temporarily suspend; (e) permanently terminate and remove content; (f) report violations to law enforcement where illegal activity is involved; or (g) pursue legal remedies. Where we remove your content, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Our repeat-infringer policy for copyright applies: three valid, uncontested infringement notices lead to suspension, and a further valid notice leads to account deletion (see Terms §8); we may act sooner for egregious cases.
4.3 Appeal. If you believe an action was taken in error, contact support@maxemo.app with details. We will review and respond within 15 business days. If you remain unsatisfied, you may escalate by email to our Grievance Officer, Naseeb D, at naseeb@maxemo.ai.
5. Reporting Violations
To report a violation by another user, contact support@maxemo.app (Grievance Officer: Naseeb D — naseeb@maxemo.ai). Please include the nature of the violation, the offending username/email if known, and any supporting evidence.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP. Material changes will be notified by email to your registered email address and by a pop-up notification inside the app, at least 15 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
